Quick Fix works through a powerful oxidation reaction. Quick
Fix contains enzymes which help prevent build up of debris on rocks and walls.
It reacts with natural elements in the pond to oxidize and detoxify a broad
range of organic and inorganic waste and other unwanted debris. Quick Fix adds
13% oxygen to the water and the benefits last for hours. Oxygen also sweetens
the water and helps prevent anaerobic conditions that lead to production of
foul smelling sulfides. Quick Fix biodegrades completely into water and carbon
and therefore is safe to use with fish or animals.
Disperse Quick Fix evenly on the water surface or if the pond is very large,
place in a burlap sack and drag behind a row boat or motor boat, allowing it to
disperse. In large ponds the problem areas are around the edges, where the
water depth is lower and temperature warmer.
DOSAGE
Initial dosage of 25 lbs. per acre foot of water is recommended, depending
upon conditions. If conditions have deteriorated then double the dose.
Maintenance: 15 lbs. per acre foot of water every 3
to 4 weeks.
After treatment you may notice bubbling in the water; that is Quick Fix
working. Skim as much of the organic matter as possible that rises to the
surface after treatment, to reduce the organic load that sinks.
Do not re-apply more than once every 48 hours.
(While it is safe for plants, direct
contact of undiluted Quick Fix may burn or discolor the leaves if not rinsed
off.)
After dosing with Quick Fix use Clear Pond Beneficial Bacteria to augment
natural bacteria in the water to efficiently eat debris such as dead algae,
fish waste and leaves that accumulate and create a sludge layer and to
naturally establish a healthy pond.
